With Memorial Day weekend coming up I’m spending the week shooting the variety of flags I see around the city beginning with the flag behind the counter at Oakley Cleaners. Adding to the series are flags on display for sale a a dollar discount store and lip balm with using a flag motif to help sell the product.

It’s Memorial Day week and time to show off the flag as a symbol of our hard-fought freedoms. Westerville has an abundance of flags flying in front yards, back yards, businesses, cars and public spaces. Take time to explore your city and its public display of patriotism.
