With Memorial Day weekend coming up I’m spending the week shooting the variety of flags I see around the city. Today’s main flag is of a young boy’s t-shirt as carries the candies he chose at That’s So Sweet on College Ave. Another is of a metal wall decoration at Amish Original Furniture. Gum ball dispensers at the candy store and a woman reluctantly posing with her t-shirt at OldSkool Skateboards complete the day’s collection.

It’s Memorial Day week and time to show off the flag as a symbol of our hard-fought freedoms. Westerville has an abundance of flags flying in front yards, back yards, businesses, cars and public spaces. Take time to explore your city and its public display of patriotism.
